I set my alarm, and in the morning, when it went off, I went into Tom’s room and woke him up. Tom got out of bed and put his Spider-Man suit on, with the built-in muscles. I wasn’t sure if you’re allowed to wear a Spider-Man suit in Church. But Tom said he would put his coat on top, and wear his smart shoes, and leave the mask behind. So I said it was all right. Because once Tom has decided what he’s wearing, it’s hard to make him change his mind. Unless you pin him down. Like Dad had to, for a wedding, when Tom was meant to be a page boy and he refused to take his frog wellies off.
